Position & Description

This position is responsible to direct our development, marketing and communications efforts
to generate vehicle and financial donations to meet the goals of ChangingGears. By executing
these responsibilities while following our Values, this position will bring about the resources
that are necessary to achieve our Mission and Vision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and execute annual development plan that generates the financial donations
necessary to achieve our annual fundraising goals. The plan will include securing:
• Grants from foundations
• Research and apply for new and existing grant opportunities
• Track spending and submit required reports for awarded grants
• Sponsorships from corporate sponsors
• For fundraising events including the ChangingGears Grand Prix
• Financial donations from individuals
• Manage all donor communications before, during and after donation
• Enter donor information into Salesforce database

• Create and execute annual marketing plan that generates the vehicle donations necessary to
meet our annual programing and fundraising goals.
• Creatively use word-of-mouth and other non-traditional techniques
• Use data to drive marketing efforts
• Work with our Vehicle Donation Manager to nurture relationships with existing
connections to vehicle donors

• Manage all external communications to generate new opportunities and nurture existing
• Manage website
• Update content and manage appropriate changes
• Work with web development agency as necessary
• Stay up to date with SEO changes and opportunities
• Create and send monthly email newsletter
• Manage social media accounts
• Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
• Create content for communications
• Photos, videos and stories
• Contract with designers, photographers, etc. as necessary

Other Duties & Responsibilities
• Attend client celebrations for ChangingGears and CityLink Center
• Assist with selling vehicles when necessary
• Assist with picking up donated vehicles when necessary
• Other duties may be assigned as appropriate

Job Requirements

• Ability to delegate appropriate tasks to others
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Google Apps, Salesforce and Mac
• Experience with communications applications preferred, including Squarespace, Mailchimp,
Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Valid drivers license
• No more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 2
• No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI)

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit and work on a computer for 2+ hours at a time
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Time Commitment • Full Time
• Hours are generally Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm
• Must be available for occasional special events and meetings outside of regular hours
Compensation • Salary dependent upon experience

This position reports to Joel Bokelman, Executive Director of ChangingGears.
